In addition to these 200 seats, SAIL-ISP will maintain a separate waiting list equal to 10% of the total seats (20 seats), prepared in order of merit. Selection Process – How Merit Is Decided

There is no written examination for this recruitment. Candidates are selected on the basis of the marks obtained in their ITI course, with merit prepared separately within each specified category and trade. In other words, you compete only against candidates of your own trade and category — an Electrician (SC) candidate is ranked against other Electrician (SC) applicants, not against Fitters or Welders.

Tie-break rule: in case of a tie in aggregate ITI marks between applicants, the older candidate is preferred. Since selection is purely marks-based, candidates with strong ITI percentages stand the best chance — there is no interview or skill test to compensate for low ITI marks, so apply in the trade where your ITI performance is strongest.
